Since we don't have a dishwasher (only the manual kind), there are plenty of hours spent standing right here, doing a sink full. Thankfully, it's one of my favorite chores. Don't have to work on my attitude like Brother Lawrence and convince myself to do them. But then, his mindset of every domestic act being done unto the Lord is wonderfully spot on. I definitely could learn from that, especially considering that I drag through some chores, not seeing the end result, but rather such a huge job that it paralyzes me.
Small bites are best. Do a bit, pause and do a bit more. That's how I hope to tackle some overloaded bookshelves soon. We'll see how that goes.
